Med Surg RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You will work as a registered nurse on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. This is a 13-week travel contract with the possibility of extension.

Shift and Schedule

• 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekday and weekend shifts required; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Patient ratio of 1:5-7
• Maximum 2-3 call-offs permitted per contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (through American Heart Association where applicable)
• Permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility
• Travel experience not required

Clinical Skills

You will manage patients across a range of medical-surgical conditions. Required competencies include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, chest tubes, CVA care, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions, telemetry and remote monitoring, oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral IV insertion and maintenance, phlebotomy, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, surgical drain management, tracheostomy care, rapid response team collaboration, and wound care including wound vacs.

Compensation and Duration
