PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 48-hour guarantee will be considered
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Step-down unit from ICU requiring ability to handle cardiac drips and familiarity with TAVRs and Watchman mitro clips at minimum
• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of a registered nurse
• Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Scrub color: Any color
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Arizona nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
