Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements included in permanent staff rotation
• Float between multiple units including MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses and inpatients holding in ED
• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
• At least 1 year PCU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required to interpret telemetry strips
• Work with geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural patients from cath lab, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op patients
• Equipment experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow oxygen
• Unit assignments communicated 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Must be flexible with scheduling as float pool scheduler creates schedule published 6 weeks out
• Dress code: solid color professional scrubs (changing to Navy scrubs in October)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• No call or standby requirements
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU
