Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment on Medical 6B, a 32-bed telemetry unit serving medical, med-tele, and respiratory patients. You will work the night shift, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours (indicated on submission)
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No on-call requirements
• Rotational float within the unit
• 13-week duration, start date October 7, 2026

Patient Care

• Patient ratios: 1:6 to 1:7 on nights
• Monitor telemetry equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process
• Coordinate care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• EMR system: EPIC

Requirements

• Current RN license, eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Competence in drug titration required
• BLS certification from AHA only
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Black scrubs required

Orientation

Night shift orientation occurs on the day shift. You must be available for the entire orientation week to ensure proper onboarding and competency assessment before beginning your regular night shift schedule.
