Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on the Main 11 West Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, head/neck/back trauma, elective surgeries, and radical neck surgeries related to trauma or cancer
• Unit consists of 34 beds with 6 progressive care and 15 total telemetry patients
• Primary unit for Neurology, Neurosurgery, and ENT, with additional services including surgery trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, and medicine
• Stable ventilator patients may be assigned within progressive care scope
• Self-scheduling environment
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• 2 holidays required per contract
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required, no exceptions
• BSN preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS
• Required skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry
• Candidates may float within scope if needed
• Virginia or compact state nursing license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Natural nail policy in effect
• 2 references required
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
