Telemetry RN Job in Independence, MO

Centerpoint Medical Center MO is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on its 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit located on the 7th floor of the main hospital. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week at a patient ratio of 4 to 5:1.

Unit Environment

• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
• Three weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule (Friday and Saturday for night shifts, Saturday and Sunday for day shifts)
• Grey scrubs required for RNs

Clinical Experience Required

You must have experience with post-cath patient recovery (no sheath removal), pacemaker placements, stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips. ACLS certification is required, and NIH certification is preferred.

Equipment and Systems

You will work with Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen Vitals machines. The facility uses Meditech as its EMR system.

Floating Responsibility

You may be required to float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU as needed.
