PCU Registered Nurse Job in Phoenix, Arizona

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center, located at 9201 W Thomas Rd in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-week duration, starting December 21, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,582.10.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for PCU patients. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments that address physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs. Working with each patient and their family, you will formulate individualized care plans based on assessment data and their input.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver coordinated patient care. Through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities, you will implement care plans and monitor patient and family responses to care and teaching. You will revise care plans as needed and maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records according to facility policy.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supervising and directing licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Participating in research activities and facility education
• Contributing to shared leadership initiatives
• Maintaining clinical performance competencies appropriate to the PCU setting
• Using standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Lifting up to 75 pounds and responding quickly to patient care needs

Requirements: Current valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure; BLS certification; minimum one year acute care hospital experience; acute care experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred. You must maintain the clinical competencies appropriate for PCU nursing practice.
