CVICU RN Job in Prescott, Arizona

Yavapai Regional Medical Center - West is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 12-bed Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a travel position offering 3x12-hour night shifts on an every-other-week schedule, with a weekly pay rate of $2,308 for a 182-day contract beginning November 16, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a CVICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
• Float as needed to ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry units across both campuses based on department skill needs
• Manage care for patients with common diagnoses including AMI, CAD, and PVD
• Demonstrate proficiency with IABP, CRRT, and fresh open-heart surgery patients from the OR
• Titrate vasoactive drips including Dexmedetomidine, Propofol, Dopamine, Neosynephrine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, Cardene, and others
• Operate and monitor ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Read cardiac rhythms using the Nihon Kohden monitoring system; RNs are responsible for strip interpretation
• Work weekend shifts (2 per pay period) and holiday shifts as required
• Comply with standby/call requirements (maximum 3 per 12 weeks)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Dysrhythmia exam completion with minimum 80% score (must pass within two attempts prior to contract signing)
• Impella experience is desired

Cancellation Policy

You are allowed 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks.
