ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an every other weekend requirement
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts with a 2:00 PM start time
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required
• Missouri or Compact license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and SAFE (provided at facility); NRP and TNCC preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Unit scrub color is Navy Blue
• Required skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency services, IV therapy and phlebotomy, medications management, neurological, orthopedics, pediatrics, psychiatric, respiratory, shock and trauma care
• Must be comfortable treating patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Emergency department consists of 20 rooms and 16 beds
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Nurses may be required to float to another department as Helping Hands or take a patient assignment within their established scope and competency
• Keep requested time off to a minimum with no preference for full calendar weeks off; expect to work some holidays
