Job Details:

• Telemetry/Step-Down unit position working with adult patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• 24-hour orientation period
• 2 years of telemetry/step-down experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; Relias EKG test is required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• No on-call required
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, arrhythmias/A-fib/A-flutter, ACS-STEMI/NSTEMI, heart valve disease, CAD, pulmonary hypertension, hypertensive crisis, chest pain/shortness of breath/syncope, pacemaker/AICD malfunction, acute renal failure, and pulmonary HTN
• Perform and support procedures including cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/AICD placement, echocardiogram, stress testing, cardiac MRI/CT, cardioversion/ablation, carotid doppler, pulmonary function testing, and anti-arrhythmic drug loading
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, EKG interpretation, management of dysrhythmias, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, wound care/wound vac, and phlebotomy
