Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Work in a very high acuity unit seeing a heavy patient load including strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
• Some trauma cases present though the unit is not trauma designated
• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex nursing care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Security is onsite 24/7
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), De-Escalation certification
• RN license in state of employment or compact license required
