Telemetry RN Job in Columbia, SC

Join Prisma Health Richland Hospital as a Registered Nurse on a 26-bed adult orthopedic spine unit. You will provide direct patient care in a specialized setting focused on spinal surgeries, including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies.

Your Responsibilities

• Care for patients across Med/Surg and Telemetry with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, low-risk acute coronary syndromes, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE
• Perform and assist with specialized procedures: bedside lumbar puncture, post-catheterization care (radial and femoral access), post-surgical monitoring, post-renal biopsy care, CT angiography support, and Heparin drip management
• Operate telemetry systems, bedside pulse oximetry, dynamaps, and glucometers
• Support integrated pain management, physical therapy, and mobility programs with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Float to other units or campuses as needed based on census, within areas of documented competency

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Days with every other weekend requirement (6 weekend shifts per contract)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $1,903
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks

Requirements

• Active South Carolina or multistate nursing license
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; 2 years preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
• Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Dysrhythmia certification
• Previous charge experience preferred
