RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday availability required as needed
• Variety of shift options available including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
• Block scheduling available for traveling nurses
• 33-bed medical-surgical floor with 16 telemetry monitors
• Maintain a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Patient population includes orthopedic patients (total knee and total hip replacements), bariatric patients (gastric sleeves and gastrectomies), CHF, COPD, TIA, and cardiac cath patients requiring intervention
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• CCU available on each shift to read monitor strips, with supervisor support also available
• No scrub color preference; scrubs will not be provided
• Every other weekend scheduling or flexible weekend scheduling available
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS
• ACLS preferred but not required
