PCU RN Job in Gilbert, Arizona

Join Banner Gateway Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel nursing position offering a 3x12 day shift schedule, with a duration of 89 weeks beginning November 16, 2026. You will earn $2,541 weekly.

Your Role

As a PCU RN, you will provide direct patient care while assessing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs. You will review patient histories and diagnostics, report abnormal findings to physicians, and formulate individualized care plans based on patient-specific assessment data and the medical plan of care. Working in coordination with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed team members as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across multiple dimensions and coordinate discharge planning
• Review and report diagnostic and laboratory results to physicians and caregivers
• Implement individualized plans of care and evaluate patient and family responses
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely
• Participate in unit shared leadership and contribute to nursing quality improvements
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, students, patients, families, and visitors

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience with specialty experience within the past 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching frequently
• Ability to use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred. The facility is located at 1900 N Higley Road in Gilbert, Arizona.
