Telemetry RN Job in Orangeburg, SC

MUSC Health Orangeburg is hiring a Registered Nurse for its new Med Surg Telemetry unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), three days per week on a newly built 18-bed unit currently in its startup phase.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 night shifts weekly
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval but are not guaranteed
• Weekly pay: $1,944
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 22, 2026

The Role

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with common medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, ESRD, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias. Patient ratio is 1:6. You will perform telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and bedside assessment using monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse ox capabilities. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina license or Compact license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years experience in Med Surg/Telemetry
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry interpretation and on-unit monitoring
• Community hospital background preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
