Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work a 3x12 rotating schedule, earning $3,153.60 per week.

About the Role

In this position, you will independently perform imaging procedures and a variety of technical interventional procedures requiring independent judgment. Your responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate proper positioning and appropriate radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures as needed
• Administer contrast in accordance with assigned protocols under the direction of the proceduralist
• Foster an environment that supports aseptic technique during procedures and patient safety with incorporation of a time-out process
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition
• Document patient history in electronic record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are adequately entered

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
• Required certifications: ARRT Certificate or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Additional required certifications: PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73
