ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its intensive care unit. This is a 181-day contract position starting September 21, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a critical care environment, monitoring and managing patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. Your responsibilities include assessing patient status, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and maintaining detailed patient records.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12.5 hours each
• Night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday schedule

Compensation and Duration

You will earn $2,384 per week. This contract runs for 181 days, providing a stable assignment in a well-established medical center.

Qualifications

You must hold a current RN license in Iowa. Critical care experience is valued, though we consider candidates at various experience levels who demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
