PCU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

Join Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. You will provide direct patient care to observation-level patients while working a 3x12 night shift schedule over an 89-week assignment beginning October 12, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for each patient
• Monitor patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data to inform care decisions
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in medical records
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

What We Require

• Current RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Documented acute care work within the past 12 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Professional certification in your specialty area

Physical Demands

This role requires you to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and stand or walk frequently throughout your shift. You must demonstrate clinical performance competencies appropriate to the Progressive Care Unit specialty.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,559. This is a travel nursing position offering flexible scheduling options within your assigned shift pattern.
