NICU RN Job in Gilbert, AZ

You will work as a registered nurse in the 12-bed Level II Special Care Nursery at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, caring for neonates 32 weeks gestational age and above. This is a 98-week travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM–7:30 AM nights)
• Self-scheduling available
• 3 weekend shifts per schedule month required, including Fridays or Saturdays and one Sunday
• One major and one minor holiday required if they fall within your assignment
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly pay: $2,334

Clinical Responsibilities

• Typical patient ratio of 3:1, adjusted to 2:1 depending on acuity
• Care for patients on CPAP and High Flow, feeder growers, rule-out sepsis, and hyperbilirubinemia cases
• Start all IVs independently; certified neonatal PICC team available on unit
• You are not required to titrate drips
• Patient care technician (PCT/HUC) available on the unit to assist with patient care
• Neonatal nurse practitioners in house 24/7 with pediatrician coverage and on-call available 24 hours

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Level 2 NICU experience required; Level 3 NICU experience preferred
• Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications

Onboarding and Logistics

• Unit-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• Pass/fail Simulation Lab assessment for foley catheter insertion required on Day 1 of orientation (study guides provided)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
• May float to sister facility Chandler Regional Medical Center NICU as needed
