NICU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the NICU at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, located at 5555 W Thunderbird Rd in Glendale, Arizona. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day contract starting September 21, 2026. You will earn $2,559 weekly.

Role Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history and physical information with patients and families within appropriate timeframes
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data and report abnormal findings to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate individualized care plans including discharge planning, incorporating input from patients, families, and the health care team
• Implement plans of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of team activities
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• Minimum one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in the NICU specialty, with experience within the past 12 months
• Level 3 NICU experience required
• Required certifications: NRP and BLS
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and assisting patients with ambulation and transfers
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
