NICU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will provide direct patient care to neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center. This is a 3x12 nights position with an 89-day contract starting September 28, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,559.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of neonatal patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural considerations
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluations accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in shared leadership, quality improvement initiatives, and national nursing quality indicator outcomes
• Precept and mentor staff, students, and facility personnel as appropriate

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in specialty area within the past 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Standard precautions compliance due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification
