ED RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital Northeast in San Antonio is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Room on a 13-week contract assignment. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), with every other weekend required and on-call responsibilities. This role guarantees 36 hours per week at $1,665 weekly pay.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Perform procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, and behavioral health monitoring
• Manage sepsis protocols, stroke care with TPA administration, and chest pain/heart alerts
• Document using Meditech system
• Float per Methodist Floating Policy as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of emergency room experience
• Current certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• CEN certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Facility Policies

• Navy scrubs required; undershirts and jackets must be white, navy, or black
• Nails must be clean, no longer than one inch, with no chipped polish; acrylic nails not permitted
• Hair must be off shoulders and natural color
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

You will join a collaborative emergency team committed to quality patient care. Assignment begins August 18, 2026, for 91 days total.
