Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required (night shift: Friday/Saturday)
• Rotating holiday schedule including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• No on-call responsibilities
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 for telemetry patients
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including telemetry needs, post-catheterization, medical/surgical with telemetry monitoring, and respiratory difficulty
• Perform point-of-care testing including blood sugar monitoring using AccuChek glucometer with barcode scanning
• Place IVs and draw labs from central lines when ordered
• Administer and reconstitute antibiotics; manage titrating heparin for telemetry patients
• Demonstrate understanding and comfort with basic dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry strip verification
• Floating may occur to comparable or lower-level units including telemetry, med/surg, or to assist with boarded patients in the emergency department
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available depending on unit needs
• Must provide own Navy blue scrubs
• Chart using EPIC system; proficiency preferred
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required with address outside 50 miles from the facility
