PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour shifts with both day and night shift options available: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday requirements apply with frequency to be determined
• Acute care setting on an 8 EAST MedSurg unit with 34 beds
• Stepdown nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3; floor nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Titrate drips as required for patient care
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Work alongside charge nurses, transport RNs, and 2-5 clinical assistants
• Respiratory therapy staff available in-house 24/7 including ventilator management
• May be required to float to other units
• Chart using EPIC system
• Wear royal blue scrubs per dress code requirements
• Required certifications: BLS
• BSN not required
• Up to 2 shift cancellations allowed per 13-week contract
