Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Rotating weekend requirement - every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
• Holiday rotation required as needed
• Unit is a 22-bed Orthopedic/Telemetry unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with 3 CNAs per shift
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
• Must have strong orthopedic experience including Total Joint Replacement experience (not just fractures)
• RNs are not required to read telemetry strips
• RNs are not required to titrate drips
• Respiratory therapy equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen used as needed
• Charge nurse coverage available 24/7
• Floating may be required to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system is EPIC
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color required is Royal Blue
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS
