Telemetry RN Job in Burlington, NC

Cone Health – Alamance Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit in Burlington, NC. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Role Overview

You will care for a diverse patient population including general surgical, pre-op, post-op, and medical overflow patients (excluding true cardiac). Patient ratios are 1:5–6, with beds capped to ensure you do not exceed 6 patients. The unit specializes in remote telemetry monitoring and serves adults and geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula support
• Administer IV insulin protocols, blood products, and manage PICC lines
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and port access/management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Chart in EPIC system
• Float to other Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Remote telemetry monitoring experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)

CNA and Unit Secretary support are available. Interdisciplinary resources include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.

This is a 91-day assignment beginning December 7, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,073.60.
