ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Travel experience required
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Holiday work expected: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2 of them
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 orientation hours required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Treats patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Required skills include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and triage
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
