PCU Registered Nurse Job in Saint Louis, MO

Christian Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position on the night shift. You will care for high-acuity step-down patients requiring acute medical care in a structured environment with strong interdisciplinary support.

Role Details:

• Night shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours
• Patient ratio of 1:3 on nights and weekends
• Every other weekend rotation (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday)
• No on-call requirement
• Float required to lower-acuity floors within the service line
• Self-scheduling available

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; travel experience required
• Bedside care within the last 6 months
• Trauma Level II facility experience
• Proficiency with vasopressor titration (Levophed, Nicardipine), sedation medications, insulin drips, arterial lines, cardiac arrhythmias, chest tubes, and tracheostomy/ventilated patient care
• Competency with BiPAP, Opti flow, and arterial lines
• Additional skills: external pacemakers, PICC line management, central line care, cardiac telemetry, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia and ABG interpretation, heparin protocols, thrombolytic agents, and wound care/wound vac
• Charge experience preferred

Certifications & System Requirements:

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Navy scrubs
