Telemetry RN Job in Tacoma, WA

St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,409.

Shift and Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No holiday requirement
• Standby/call requirement in place
• Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks

Role and Responsibilities:

• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Monitor your own telemetry strips
• Care for Med/Surg telemetry patients and boarding patients
• Float requirement to similar floors within Region Two, including St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw, WA
• Rate differential provided when floated outside primary location

Unit Support and Environment:

• Charge nurse and house supervisor on unit
• Nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters available
• In-house security available
• Lab draws performed by phlebotomy
• House transporters available for X-ray and CT transport
• Oxygen and SVN respiratory equipment in use
• Epic charting system

Requirements and Orientation:

• Washington State RN License
• BLS Certification
• BSN not required
• Unit-specific orientation: 1 day

Wear navy blue scrubs. This position offers the opportunity to work in a structured telemetry environment with comprehensive unit support and clear staffing protocols.
