PCU RN Job in Phoenix, Arizona

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center, providing direct patient care to observation-level patients. This position runs for 89 days, starting February 1, 2027, on a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. Your weekly pay is $2,541.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for your assigned patient population
• Monitor patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs throughout their stay
• Review patient history, diagnostic results, and laboratory data to inform care decisions
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans with attention to discharge planning
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision as appropriate
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in medical records
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care work history within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

Physical demands: This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds and standing or walking frequently throughout your shift. You must demonstrate clinical performance competencies appropriate to the specialty area and be prepared for the physical demands of acute care nursing.
