Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on the Medical-Surgical unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care on the MAP Unit (Medical and Pediatrics), working with adult patients only. You will treat patients with a variety of acute conditions, including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal. Typical patient ratios on nights are 1:6-7.

Scheduling & Flexibility

Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation is required. You may float to other inpatient units as needed. The contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable time, which can be used in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour blocks.

Requirements

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS (AHA or ARC) and PALS certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred

• Weekly Pay: $2,479.32
• Shift: 3x12 Nights
