PCU RN Job in Sun City, AZ

Banner Boswell Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit in Sun City, Arizona. This is a 89-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,559.

Schedule & Location

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Primary assignment at Banner Boswell Medical Center (10401 W Thunderbird Blvd)
• Float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as needed

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for post-surgical patients in a Progressive Care Unit setting
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, with attention to discharge planning
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Review diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed health care team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor staff, students, and facility personnel as appropriate

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Lift up to 75 pounds regularly

Qualifications Required

• Current, valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Experience in Progressive Care or specialty area within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
