PCU RN Job in Sun City West, AZ

Banner Del Webb Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Sun City West, Arizona. This is a 3x12 nights position with an 89-day contract beginning October 19, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care on a progressive care unit that manages general, telemetry-monitored, and medical patients. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care
• Review patient history and diagnostic results; report abnormal findings to physicians
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care with attention to discharge planning needs
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and educational interventions
• Coordinate and delegate activities of the healthcare team while supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities in patient records
• Address patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs

Position Details

You will float between Banner Del Webb Medical Center (BDWMC) and Banner Baywood Medical Center (BBWMC) campuses with a varied work schedule assignment. The role uses a universal bed model, requiring flexibility and clinical adaptability.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care experience as an RN in specialty area within the past 12 months
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the work area

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,559. This contract offers the opportunity to gain experience in a multi-campus healthcare system while maintaining the flexibility of a defined-length travel assignment.
