About this role

You will perform computed tomography procedures independently, utilizing established scan protocols and demonstrating strong technical judgment in a fast-paced imaging environment. This is a 3-day-per-week position with 12-hour night shifts, offering you 36 estimated hours weekly.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Independently perform CT procedures, including contrast administration and venipuncture according to department and manufacturer protocols
  • Operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of diagnostic image data
  • Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders, assessing patients for risk factors prior to administration
  • Adjust scan protocols and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for optimal diagnostic results
  • Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and secure cooperation
  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers and apply universal safety protocols
  • Review patient history and physician orders to apply departmental protocols for accurate data acquisition
  • Document patient information in electronic records as required
  • Ensure proper exam coding, tracking, archiving, and charge entry

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in CT technology
  • Graduation from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program
  • ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
  • CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73 compliance

This 91-day travel assignment begins August 16, 2026, and is based in Pittsburgh, PA at a southwest-located facility. Weekly pay is $2,890.80 for your commitment to quality patient care and diagnostic excellence.
