PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours must be indicated at time of submission
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirements apply as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• Minimum 1 year of stepdown experience required, inpatient only
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience required due to respiratory-heavy unit
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, ETOH, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, and cancer
• Patient ratio of 1:3/4 on a 22-bed unit
• Equipment used includes TRACH, VENT, VAPO, and BIPAP
• EMR system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Current RN license required, eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Scrub color required: Black only
• Night shift orientation takes place on day shift; traveler must be available the entire week for orientation
