Emergency Department RN Job in Utica, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a 64-bed Emergency Department at MVHS Inc. in Utica, New York. This is a travel nursing assignment with a duration of 89 days, starting November 30, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 evening shifts: 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
• Weekly pay: $2,704
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Floating to other units is required

Unit Composition and Patient Population

The Emergency Department includes 2 triage beds, 40 acute care beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 clinical decision unit beds, and 6 psychiatric beds. You will provide care to patients ranging from newborns and pediatrics through geriatric populations. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. You will care for all assigned patients, including SANE patients.

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with some pediatric experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Knowledge of critical drips and medications: pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), sedation medications (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required

Certifications and Licensing

• Active New York nursing license with NURSYS verification
• AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Skills checklist matching specialty required

Navy blue scrubs required.
