Physical Therapist Job in Bradenton, FL

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 30, 2026. You will work day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an expected weekly pay of $2,190.

In this role, you will deliver physical therapy services across the facility, including a 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and acute care hospital settings. You will perform patient evaluations, design and implement treatment plans, manage discharge planning, and conduct team conferences and family training sessions. Patient assignments vary: you will manage approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8–12 patients per day in acute care.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
• Documenting patient care using the Meditech EMR system
• Recommending adaptive devices and equipment based on patient needs
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on patient care goals
• Providing family education and discharge planning support

You will have access to well-equipped therapy spaces, including 2 therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, and an ADL Apartment to support patient rehabilitation goals.

Schedule expectations include every other weekend and holiday rotations in alignment with hospital staff, with a minimum of one weekend shift per month required.

Required qualifications:

• Active Physical Therapist license
• Active BLS certification
• Willingness to work on the IRF unit
• Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Hospital and IRF experience
• Stroke and neuro rehabilitation experience
• Collaborative, flexible team player approach
