PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Immanuel is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 12-hour shift environment, working three days per week.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts: day shift 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or night shift 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 1:4–5 with nurse aide/patient care tech support at 1:10 or 2:20
• Care for patients with cardiac conditions, nephrology, strokes, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Floating requirements to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license required at time of application
• BSN not required

Additional Requirements

• You must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• You may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity affiliated facility
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• You will complete a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass
• Electronic health record system: EPIC

This role requires strong communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced unit setting.
