Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical position. You will work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a three-times-per-week schedule, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit, caring for adult patients only
• Manage typical patient ratios of 1:4–5 on day shifts
• Float to inpatient units as needed
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday

Patient Conditions You Will Treat

• Respiratory illnesses, stroke, and neurological conditions
• Gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, and renal failure
• Urinary tract disorders, sepsis, and wound care
• Clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal

Requirements

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Additional Details

The contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which you may take in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour blocks. You may wear scrubs in any color. Contract duration is 70 weeks, with a start date of September 21, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,377.08.
