NICU RN Job in San Marcos, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for a travel assignment in the NICU at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital San Marcos. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in a Level 2 NICU setting, with occasional float to the mother/baby unit as needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide routine and complex neonatal care using the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Practice independently in the clinical setting with awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and all care provided
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate tasks to other team members as needed

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
• STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants)
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred qualifications:

• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting

This assignment runs for 91 days, beginning September 21, 2026. Your weekly pay is $1,971. ADEX Healthcare Staffing handles credentialing, housing placement, and travel logistics so you can focus on patient care.
