Respiratory Therapist Job in Portland, ME

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 182-day travel assignment at MMC-P Bramhall Campus in Portland, Maine. This is a backfill position working nights.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x12, nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Call rotation: approximately one call shift per month, 2-hour oncoming shift requirement
• Start date: July 13, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,206.16

Your Role

You will float as an RRT across the facility, covering NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency department, adult acute, and critical care units. You will work as part of a team of 14–16 RRTs and manage patient loads of 1:25 in acute care and 1:8 in critical care. Work schedules are determined based on operational needs of the department.

Equipment & Systems

You will operate ventilators and respiratory equipment including Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm. The facility uses EPIC electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an RRT
• Tertiary teaching hospital experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• RRT certification required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• NRP required for NICU assignments
• NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic experience preferred
