PCU RN Job in Denver, CO

Join HCA HealthONE Swedish as a travel RN in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 91-day assignment beginning November 16, 2026, offering three 12-hour day shifts per week from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Position Overview

You will work in a 20-bed PCU unit staffed with RNs and PCTs, providing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac environment. This is a cardiac center of excellence, and your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes. Your patient ratio is 1:4, allowing you to deliver attentive, evidence-based care.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Extensive neuro experience; cardiac experience a plus

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage a diverse range of equipment including telemetry, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, Foleys, pacer wires and pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps. You will perform chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs. You will administer critical drips including heparin, tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, and ketamine.

System & Environment

The unit uses Meditech as its EMR system. You will be part of a collaborative team in a high-energy setting where strong communication and teamwork are essential to delivering safe, efficient patient care.

Compensation & Assignment Details

You will earn $1,971 per week. This 91-day travel assignment provides the opportunity to expand your clinical skills in a specialized cardiac PCU while experiencing the Denver, Colorado area.
