PCU RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a night shift position working 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekly pay of $2,272.

Assignment Details

• 13-week duration, starting November 2, 2026
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• 22-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:3/4
• Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units

Clinical Focus

You will care for patients with respiratory failure, ETOH withdrawal, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, and cancer. The unit is respiratory-heavy and uses equipment including tracheostomy care, ventilators, VAPOTHERM, and BIPAP. The facility uses EPIC for documentation.

Requirements

• Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of stepdown/PCU experience, inpatient only
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• Black scrubs only
• Night shift orientation occurs during day shift hours; you must be available for the entire orientation week
