PCU RN Job in LaGrange, GA

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is hiring an RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 30, 2026, with weekly pay of $1,828.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice
• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to population-specific characteristics including age, gender, and disease status
• Partner with patients and families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate safe, quality patient care via interdisciplinary communication and documentation
• Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance initiatives
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to professional nurses, staff, or students
• Support efficient use of human and material resources
• Proactively plan patient care across the care continuum
• Respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner

What You'll Need:

• RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required upon hire
• ACLS or ARC Advanced Life Support required within 180 days of hire
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
• Excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology to support clinical care
