PCU RN Job in Kansas City, MO

Research Medical Center MO is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You'll work the night shift—four 12-hour shifts per week—with guaranteed 48 hours weekly and a competitive weekly pay of $2,630.

Your Role

You'll provide care on a dedicated 16-bed Stroke & Brain unit with a 4:1 patient ratio. Your responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, stroke patient care, cardiac drip management, and documentation in the Meditech system. You must be comfortable with basic dysrhythmia interpretation and advanced cardiac drip management skills.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Current RN license
• Stroke care experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Equipment & Tools

You'll use Welch Allyn vital sign machines, telemetry monitors, Hoyer and Sarah Steady lifts, bladder scanners, and Dopplers in your daily practice.

Schedule & Logistics

The position runs 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with a typical schedule requiring three shifts per week and 3–4 weekend shifts. You may be floated to other areas where your competency has been demonstrated. Navy blue scrubs are required.
