Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-week contract with option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 for adults and geriatric populations
• No on-call requirements
• May float within service line as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to starting
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Care for patients waiting to be admitted into inpatient units, beginning care in the Emergency Department until a bed is available
• Required skills include: interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, pre/post hemodialysis management, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, starting IVs, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, thrombolytic agents, substance withdrawal, ortho trauma, traction, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, and isolation precautions
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
