Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required across all facilities when census is down
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Unit is tele-capable; patient population is primarily Medical/Surgical
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Patient population includes observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes (including new diabetics and patients with complications), and surgical patients/surgical observation
• Patient age groups: adults and geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, peripheral line care, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drain care, telemetry, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
