ED RN Job in Utica, NY

You will work 12-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM in a 64-bed Emergency Department at MVHS Inc. in Utica, New York. This is a 110-week travel assignment beginning October 11, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,556.

Unit Overview

The Emergency Department is organized into specialized zones: 2 triage beds, 40 acute care beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 clinical decision unit (CDU) beds, and 6 psychiatric beds. You will care for patients across all age groups—newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics—and manage common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency setting
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Float to other units as required (block scheduling is not guaranteed)
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• Demonstrate charge nurse capability (highly preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatrics experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• EPIC EMR experience
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be current at time of submission)
• Completed skills checklist matching ED specialty
