Telemetry RN Job in Winston Salem, NC

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position on our Med-Surg unit in Winston Salem, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Position Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Three shifts per week; 36–48 hours available weekly
• Every other weekend required
• Weekly pay: $1,883

Clinical Responsibilities:

You will care for adult and geriatric patients across 10 telemetry beds with a target ratio of 1:6 patients, though ratios may reach 1:7 depending on staffing. The unit maintains high acuity and turns over approximately one-third of beds daily. You will manage patients with GI conditions, blood loss and anemia, infections, renal conditions, post-GI surgical recovery, and cardiac monitoring needs. Floating to other med-surg units and floors is required as needed.

Key Clinical Skills:

• IV start and blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Heparin protocols and dysrhythmia interpretation
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Wound care and renal failure management
• Rapid response and code team involvement

Requirements:

• Current RN license (NC or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Two successfully completed travel assignments required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• EKG testing prior to start
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Unit Information:

The unit uses PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR communication systems. You will receive 36 hours of orientation. Scrubs should be navy and/or white.
