Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on unit need
• Floating to other med surg units may be required based on census needs
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Block scheduling type
• Care for adult patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post heart catheterization
• Step-down from ICU level care; no ventilators or pressor support
• Administer and manage drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring required, including on-unit and remote monitoring
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Perform central line care and management, peripheral line care, and IV placement
• Blood product administration, wound care, wound vac, and tracheostomy care required
• Pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management, and post cardiac angiogram experience required
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs) required
• Management of cardiac drips with titration and pacemaker management required
• Use of rapid response and code teams required
• Peritoneal dialysis equipment experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Tennessee nursing license required
